OneNeck IT Solutions, a national IT hybrid solutions provider, has a great remote opportunity for a motivated Manager - Database and Applications Services to lead the department that is responsible for, the high availability and integrity of database and application systems used by OneNeck's customers. The Manager - Database and Applications Services focuses on enhancing and optimizing OneNeck Managed Services around database and enterprise application technologies, which includes:

Managing delivery of vendors, and partners that are providing technical services (including large off-shore subcontracting relationships amounting to $10-20M of annualized spend).
• Optimizing the efficient usage of employee and contracted resources in the interests of improving OneNeck's financial results, but without sacrificing services quality.
• Managing and developing staff to evolve their technical capabilities, productivity, and effectiveness of service(s) delivery.
• Delivering assigned projects and achieving commitments made to customers.
• Providing and proposing directional roadmaps on how to service OneNeck Managed Services Customers.
• Assessing new technologies and subsequently providing guidance to OneNeck and customers as to their merit and/or effective use.
• Collaborating with other departments to achieve integrated, compliant, and effective solutions that are consistent with customer contract specifications and expectations.
• Effectively and constructively interacting with customers to build confidence in OneNeck's services and capabilities.

The key responsibilities of this position include the following:

• Manage and provide leadership over the database and application technology areas. Provide roadmap direction around technology, support, and solutions. Develop, maintain, and report on operational metrics. Most importantly, achieve committed SLAs to customers.
• Manage and mentor a staff of highly technical individuals that support various database, ERP, and business application technologies including driving the engineers to create documentation for the environments, most common problems, and items which help less senior engineers conduct service delivery activities efficiently and effectively. Develop training plans for this department's engineers' success and development.
• Oversee the staffing, budgeting, and contracting of outside agencies and vendors to meet the database and application support services needs of OneNeck's customers. This may include acting as a liaison among staff, outside vendors, and services providers as needed.
• Own and be an escalation point for issues and requests related to the services that are provided by this department. Improve workflows that must be serviced by your group, working issue to resolution, improving upon process, procedure, and knowledge to reduce future issues or escalations.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree (or higher) or 4 years professional work experience
• 7 years of strong technology experience (UNIX/Storage, Network, Enterprise Applications, Database, or Infrastructure Applications)
• 2 years supervisory or management experience
• Availability to consult, assist and/or perform after-hours support and participate in on-call rotations

Other Qualifications:

• ITIL V3 foundation certification preferred or required to obtain within 1 year of employment with OneNeck
• Sound judgment and decision-making skills
• Good analytical, statistical, and problem-solving skills
• Strong commitment to customer satisfaction and quality
• Results and execution oriented, self-motivated requiring minimal supervision
• Excellent understanding of current IT trends and their impact on business
• Proficient with all Microsoft Office application
• Experience with departmental budgetary and financial management
• Experience with vendor, partner, and offshore management and supporting models
