ONE HEALTH is Hiring a Director of Finance Near Hardin, MT

If you have experience in a Controller role, oversight of accounting operations and employees, financial analysis, compliance and regulatory experience, facilitation of budgets and financial forecasting, and experience with financial policy and procedure development; this may be the perfect opportunity for you! Experience in health care is preferred. Expectation is to work on-site at any one of our locations (Hardin, Lewistown, Miles City, Chinook/Harlem, Bozeman, or Livingston, MT or Sheridan, Powell or Cody, WY) with occasional travel to other locations, as needed.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for oversight of the financial operations and financial planning of One Health, including establishing targets, development of budgets, identification of financial issues, preparation of reports and performing financial analysis.

COMPENSATION: $94,224-$101,379/yr., DOE

MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Certificates/Licenses:

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
  • Valid driver’s license

Preferred

  • CPA or CPA-eligible

Experience:

Required

  • Minimum five (5) years in financial management
  • OR combination of experience and training that provides equivalent scope of knowledge and skills
  • Five (5) years in a supervisory role
  • Proficiency in accounting software

Preferred

  • Three (3) years in healthcare organization
  • Proficiency in GAAP accounting practices

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Works collaboratively with the CFO and other finance team members and strives to ensure the delivery of excellent customer service to all One Health patients.
  2. Responsible for oversight of accounting operations in the areas of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll to ensure the execution of sound and generally accepted principles of accounting.
  3. Participates in the preparation and review of various financial statements and reports. Provides regular reporting to the AVP of Finance for inclusion in the financial statements of the organization. Maintains regular communication with the CFO and AVP of Finance, providing updates related to financial transaction, flow of fiscal operations, internal controls, audit and grant related matters.
  4. Performs regular financial analysis.
  5. Develops and oversees budget preparation and reporting for the organization, external stakeholders and federal agencies.
  6. Manage all accounting and finance employees including management level accountants.
  7. 403b plan oversight and management, including coordinating annual audit procedures.
  8. In collaboration with other department heads, management and oversite of organizational insurance renewals.
  9. Facilitate and supervise all audit processes.
  10. Assists in the development and implementation of goals, policies, priorities, and procedures relating to financial management, budget, accounting, and/or payroll.
  11. Prepares financial forecast for both existing and new service lines.
  12. Develops and implements organization-wide financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  13. In collaboration with the CFO, assists with recruitment, supervision, training, and evaluation of staff responsible for duties related to fiscal operations, and general accounting functions.
  14. Works collaboratively with development team to supply data for new projects and remains throughout project implementation to ensure appropriate financial reporting.
