Once Upon a Child - Ballwin is seeking an experienced leader and team-builder to become our next Store Manager. Our company owns and operates 4 Once Upon a Child and 2 Plato's Closet stores. We are on a mission to add a driven, curious, non-complacent seeker to lead our team.

The Store Manager is ultimately responsible for all aspects of successfully operating a store including hiring and retention, customer service, training, coaching, sales, merchandising, inventory acquisition, inventory management, report analysis, daily, weekly and monthly reporting, loss prevention, human resources, cash management, scheduling, operations and ... more.
If you are already a retail professional you understand the many 'hats' a Store Manager wears on a daily basis. If you're looking to join the retail world this is a position that demands flexibility and an ability to prioritize on a moment-by-moment basis to achieve the store and company goals. In these positions you will be supported by very experienced and accomplished senior management including the District Managers and the Owners, each of whom are in position to help you 'win'. We also support you as you pursue your goals by providing competitive rates and bonus opportunities to your entire team.
Requirements
* 2 years of relevant management experience (food and retail preferred) is required
* Must be able to work evenings and weekends and have schedule flexibility based on store needs
* Exceptional team building and leadership development skills are imperative in this position
* Superior trainer, coach, motivator and leader
* Must accept and crave accountability for your own performance and that of your team
* Embraces a 'people before product' approach
* Believes that busy days are good days and the busiest days are the best days
* Willing to do anything you expect your team to do and desire to train them so well they don't ever need you to do it
* Understands IPT, GM, SPLH and other awesome retail acronyms and how to use them or willing to learn
* Must take your work seriously but not yourself and also value a healthy work/life balance
* Must be able to stand for several hours and lift up to 40 pounds
