Position Overview:

New Day Recovery and On Demand Counseling is seeking a Physician Assistant for our treatment center. New Day recovery is changing lives each and every day in the addiction recovery community. With locations across Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana counties, we operate immediate care and voluntary inpatient treatment centers. Responsibilities:

  • Knowledge of human behavior, individual differences in abilities, personalities, and interests, learning and motivation styles, and assessment and treatment of behavioral and affective disorders.
  • Demonstrate the ability to effectively function as a team member and relate with empathy and sensitivity to staff, clients and the community.
  • Demonstrate the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Demonstrate exceptional written and verbal communication and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of information and techniques required to interact and treat individuals with mental health/substance use disorders.
  • Demonstrate the ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment in situations involving sensitive matters.

Qualifications:

  • Current and valid Ohio Physician Assistant licensure
  • CPR certified
  • Completion of 100 hours of continuing medical education requirements every 2 years
  • Must possess and demonstrate effective organizational skills and supervisory skills.
