Job Summary
The Head of Workplace will manage global workplace teams to leverage innovative technologies and flexible methods to optimize colleague collaboration, productivity, and efficiency.

This position reports to the global Chief Information Officer based in Germany for functional guidance and dotted line disciplinary to the Chief Financial Officer of SURTECO North America.

This is a Hybrid role. Candidate must reside near one of the following SURTECO, NA locations: Myrtle Beach, SC; Monroe, NC; Auburn, PA; or Jeanette, PA.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Leading and development of the global Workplace teams as defined in the global IT strategy in alignment with the IT management team.
• Planning and implementation of various projects for modernization and harmonization of the digital workplace services (e.g. devices, telephony, printing, M365, software distribution).
• Ensuring a reliable, secure, and efficient operation of these services, including the 2nd level workplace supports for our user globally.
• Innovative improvement and updates of our workplace solution portfolio, as well as qualification of new demands, in order to provide our business adequate workplace solutions.
• Development and alignment of the workplace solution roadmap and target architecture for these services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in economics, computer science, or similar studies with at least 8 years of relevant job experience.
• Leadership experience in leading of a global workplace team.
• Deep knowledge of modern workplace services, especially M365.
• Proven success in improving and harmonization of global workplace services.
• Experience in steering and selecting external service provider.
• Solid IT service management know-how and ITIL foundation certification
• English language skills mandatory and German is a plus.
• Team player with open communication and strong business value mindset.
• Willingness to take ownership for workplace innovations and improvements.

Work Environment and Environmental Conditions

• Comfortable with working in a manufacturing environment alongside machines, equipment, etc.
