Systems Engineer IV
Omnicell’s 340B Technical Operations team is looking for a Systems Engineer for designing, deploying, maintaining, and monitoring cloud infrastructure.The Systems Engineer will partner with product engineering, enterprise IT and InfoSec for deploying, configuring, and monitoring 340B Link’s products on Azure cloud platform. The Systems engineer will have hands on knowledge of Azure infrastructure and DevOps services (including source control, build and release pipelines, app configurations for Prod and Non-Prod environments).
Systems Engineer will possess extensive hands-on technical knowledge, and excellent communication skills to engage with multiple product teams spread across Omnicell offices.
This is a nation-wide search. Ideal candidate can live anywhere in the US.
Essential Functions:
•Build and manage software delivery, systems integration, and developer support tools.
•Investigate, troubleshoot and monitor production processes, web servers and Load balancers.
•Administer, manage and support, code repositories on Azure DevOps or BitBucket.
•Design and Build CI/CD release pipelines for deployment to Production and non-prod environments.
•Evaluate and recommend tools for automation of Cloud infrastructure.
•Administer and support Virtual Infrastructure resources in Azure cloud environment.
•Partner with product engineering teams on designing scalable infrastructure solutions.
•Evaluate and conduct capacity planning and performance monitoring of infrastructure and application services to ensure system uptime and availability per SLA.
•Work with enterprise IT teams to ensure all production systems are monitored, updated and backed up.
•Maintain and deploy production software to servers, resolve production issues and participate in RCA sessions.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
•Hands-on experience on Azure network, compute, storage and security setups for hosted applications.
•Strong problem solving and troubleshooting system level problems including, Application slowness, network connectivity, FTP issues, Configuration problems.
•Understanding of infrastructure systems (Application Gateways, Domains, Load Balancers, SFTP Server) and software systems.
•Experience with IIS configuration for Web apps and API Micro services.
•Experience with setting up monitoring using Azure Log Analytics.
• Experience with any of the industry leading APM tools like Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Newrelic or Splunk.
•Demonstrated experience collaborating with external customers and partners.
• General experience with Windows administration and automation using scripting (powershell or cmdshell)
•Experience of running Disaster Recovery simulations and tests.
•A proponent of process automation using various technology tools.
•A high sense of ownership, initiative, follow through, and drive.
•Good problem solver, someone who looks beyond bare requirements to try and understand underlying business purpose
•Good communicator, able to work both independently and within a team dynamic as necessary
Preferred Knowledge and Skills:
•Understanding of serverless computing and Azure Paas, Iaas Cloud Services.
•Basic understanding on SQL Server databases.
•Knowledge of development tools on Microsoft stack: .NET, IIS, MSMQ, SQL Server
•General knowledge of sFTP, EDI data exchange
Basic Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree - - Information Systems or similar Quantitative fields.
•5 years IT or Engineering systems experience
Work Conditions:
· USA Remote
· Occasional Off-Hrs on-call support.
