About:

Omnia Outdoors, a leading custom pool designer and builder specializing in landscape design, outdoor lighting, and outdoor kitchens, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pool Construction Superintendent. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully managing and overseeing day-to-day pool construction operations, ensuring projects are completed efficiently, on time, and within budget.

Responsibilities:

1. Manage Subcontractors:

- Oversee subcontractors on-site, providing clear direction and ensuring compliance with project specifications.

2. Project Oversight:

- Independently manage day-to-day pool construction operations.

- Manage up to 10 builds per month, ensuring quality and efficiency.

3. Coordination and Scheduling:

- Coordinate subcontractors by scheduling start and end times for optimal workflow.

4. Budget and Schedule Management:

- Develop, monitor, and adhere to building budgets and work schedules.

- Forecast labor requirements for maximum efficiency.

5. Client Relations:

- Address client concerns promptly, implementing immediate corrective actions and process improvements.

6. Policy Implementation:

- Ensure consistent implementation of construction policies, processes, and procedures by all construction personnel.

7. Vendor Management:

- Utilize building software for schedules, vendor selection, and purchase order issuance.

- Continuously network and recruit new subcontractors to meet production requirements.

8. Quality Assurance:

- Perform quality checks on completed work.

- Approve purchase orders and review contractor invoices for cost overruns.

9. Logistics and Documentation:

- Pick up materials for job sites.

- Check-in material deliveries at job sites.

- Maintain organized project documentation.

10. Compliance and Safety:

- Ensure inspection compliance with municipal inspectors.

- Manage safe and clean worksites.

11. Capacity Planning:

- Anticipate and plan for the required production capacity to meet sales demand.

12. Continuous Improvement:

- Analyze construction-related losses and recommend process changes for improvement.

- Evaluate construction standards and recommend adjustments as necessary.

13. Stay Informed:

- Stay informed about the latest pool and construction-related technologies through self-education or attending vendor-related training.

14. Other Responsibilities:

- Undertake additional projects and duties as assigned.

Requirements:

- 10 years of experience in pool construction and project management.

- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

- Proficient in building software for scheduling and vendor management.
