Job Description

The Splash Server will provide superior food and beverage service to Resort guests in an upscale, yet relaxed and friendly atmosphere at the legendary Omni La Costa Spa.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Serve our guests
• Proof your station. Check for polished silverware, neatness of tables, check for linen spots, holes and placement. Re-set if necessary.
• Maintain knowledge of menu items and preparation as well as specials and '86' items.
• Responsible for knowledge of wine list and the service of wine.
• Sell and up-sell items to increase revenue for the restaurant.
• Know setting guidelines, table numbers and overall dining room procedures.
• Responsible for knowledge of the Abacus and all checks opened in your server number.
• Take the customers order, serve the courses accordingly and promptly tender payment of check. Always say farewell to customers as they leave.
• Do any side duties delegated by the Lead Server or Manager on Duty.
• Refer to our guests by name whenever possible.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. • Previous experience as a food server highly preferred.
• Must be able to attain a valid San Diego County Food Handler certification upon hire if not already certified.
• Must be RBS Certified upon hire.
