Job Description

Be a key part of the corporate Food & Beverage team driving operational excellence for Omni Hotels & Resorts - a luxury hotel brand known for its award-winning service and vibrant culture. The Corporate Food & Beverage Manager supports a portfolio of properties by strategically partnering with executive leadership and on-property operations teams. This position requires a deep knowledge and passion for food and beverage operations, excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

Leadership

  • Create, develop and implement food & beverage systems, standard operating procedures and brand standards, associated with operational efficiencies and optimization.
  • Engage key property level operators in a collaborative way in which feedback regarding all aspects of the operation is analyzed and used to influence prioritization of potential changes.
  • Assist property leadership in identifying opportunities in F&B productivity, operational execution and financial management.
  • Analyze internal operations data and monitor industry trends to help refine guest offerings and standards.
  • Facilitate consistent monthly 1:1 meetings with assigned property F&B Directors (or other) to ensure clear communication and continued mentorship.
  • Conduct property visits to review and improve the execution of standard operating procedures and brand standards within all F&B outlets & banquets.
  • Support project communication between the operations team and all other departments, including IT, procurement, sales & marketing, etc. Ensure concise directives are properly conveyed and executable.
  • Report to Vice President of food and beverage on property F&B financial performance. Coach and mentor as necessary.

Training & Development

  • Work closely with senior leadership to identify key talent and oversee strategic succession planning.
  • Partner with ASC in ongoing development of F&B chefs/managers and Leaders in Development, including participation in identifying internal candidates for open positions as well as succession planning and career path discussions.
  • Facilitate ongoing training, including Moments of Service, Medallia, Power of Engagement.

Business Building

  • Provide guidance to property F&B teams on concept execution and menu development, helping to establish that consistency will drive business.
  • Oversight of property menu approval.
  • Support assigned properties’ leadership with increasing guest counts and the development of a loyal guest base in F&B outlets.
  • Support the trilogy in the decision making process, focusing on long-term decisions having the most positive impact.
  • Ensure F&B Teams are adhering to established marketing plans and assist the team in developing strong local plans.
  • Develop potential activations that assist with impacting not only guest experience but top line revenues.

Quality Assurance

  • Analyze and provide feedback to hotels regarding F&B division financials, Medallia trends, online reputational management, and other BOH/FOH tools.
  • Monitor (& gameplan) trends in all areas of assigned properties including sales, costs, cover counts, product mix, etc. and proactively report on such to each property.
  • Ensure brand standards and moments of service are being executed at a high level consistently.
  • Provide bi-annual “audits” of operations, service and F&B brand standards for each assigned property. 

Qualifications

  • Five to seven years in luxury hotel food & beverage operations preferred. Minimum of four to five years in a managerial role; experience in multiple outlet oversight, banquets or related roles required.
  • Bachelor degree preferred in hospitality, business or related field.
  • Extensive knowledge of industry specific operational standards including service standards, best practices, POS programming and management.
  • Working knowledge of current food and beverage and hospitality trends.
  • Excellent financial acumen with prior P&L responsibilities.
  • Ability to articulate ideas and business results.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement and execute initiatives.
  • Thorough understanding of Omni culture and key service components.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365: Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point.
  • Effective listening, high attention to detail, and excellent verbal and written communications.
  • Ability to work extended hours, including weekends, evenings and holidays.
  • Ability to travel approximately 50% of time.
