Omni Aerospace is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. You will be reporting directly to our General Manager. This is a great opportunity if you want to be a part of a growing organization with a small company feel. This is an in-office position, you must live within a commutable distance from Wichita. We are looking to hire someone quickly, so this opportunity won’t be around long!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Define and document requirements for processes and products
• Internal subject matter expert on customer specifications and requirements
• Develop work instructions and create planning documentation
• Review and validate teammates planning documentation
• Error proof processes and develop close teaming relationships with programming, machinists, assemblers and quality team-mates
• Lead and support process optimizations and troubleshooting of product or processes
• Evaluate new processes/technologies and associated return on investments
• Other duties as assigned by management

Requirements

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering preferred
• Two to five years’ experience in manufacturing engineering role preferred
• Knowledge and understanding of technical drawings
• Experience using CATIA V5
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience using Material Requirements Planning (MRP) or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Software. JobBOSS experience is preferred. 
• Strong attention to detail and demonstrated critical thinking
• Experience working with multiple OEM specifications is preferred
• Drafting experience in CATIA V5 is preferred
• Tooling design experience is preferred
• Background working in the machining industry and experience as a machinist is a strongly preferred
