ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

The Hotel operates 24 hours a day and 7 days a week, so operational demands require variations in shift days, starting times, andhours worked in a week.
Checks and maintains proper set-up and cleanliness of service station before, during and after shift.
Greets guests in a friendly and courteous manner and explains all specials, promotions and snacks.
Takes orders, reciting selection of all call and premium brands as requested, requires memorization of all available drinks.Responsible for answering barphone within three rings.
Inputs orders into point of sale system to informbartender an order was made in a timely order.
Replenishes beverages as requested, frequently checking back with guest to inquire about satisfaction.
Present the guest with the check promptly, thanking them and inviting them to return, so they will frequent the bar again.
Perform general cleaning tasks, using standard hotel cleaning products as assigned by your supervisor to adhere to health standards.
Adheres to allcompanypolicies and procedures. Follows safety and security procedures and rules.Knowsdepartment fire prevention and emergency procedures.
Utilizes protective equipment. Reports unsafe conditions to supervisor. Reports accidents, injuries, near-misses, property damage or loss to supervisor.
Provides for a safe work environment by followingall safety and security procedures and rules.
All team members must maintain a neat, clean and well groomed appearance. (Specificstandards outlined in team member handbook).
Perform any related duties as requested by supervisor/manager.
Assists other Beverage Personnel when need.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Knowledge of all State, Federal and Corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests.
Hold a current Food Handler Card.
Must have basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service of various alcoholic beverages.
Basic mathematical skills necessary to operate a cash register, make change, total guest checks, count total bank, prepare cash drops, total all othercharges, and understand portion sizes.
Basic English language writing skills necessary for completion of requisitions, and vouchers.
Sufficient manual dexterity in hands in order to use a knife to make garnish, pick up glassware and bottles, scoop ice, mixdrinks, and reach overhead toretrieve stock.
Basic knowledge of the English language sufficient to understand inquiries from customers and communicate simple instructions.
Ability to comprehend and apply written product labeling instructions to enable the safe application of products and processes within the hotel.
Ability to remember, recite and promote the variety of menu items.
Ability to operate beverage equipment, e.g., coffee maker.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Ability to transport up to 30 lbs. through a crowded room on a continuous basis throughout the shift.
Lifting Thirty (30) pounds maximum.
Constant standing & walking required
Frequent twisting, bending, stooping, reaching, standing, walking, talking, hearing, seeing and smiling.
