SUMMARY

The Cook is responsible for the highest level of freshness, preparation, and presentation of all food served for the Club’s restaurants and private event venues, ensuring a five-star member dining experience and member expectations are exceeded.

  • Knowledge of food professional principles and practices, including understanding food allergies.
  • Exceptional cooking skills. 
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills. Ability to think on your feet. 
  • Possess a can-do attitude and tackles everything with a smile. 
  • Efficiently completes assigned duties. 
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member to meet objectives.
  • In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local food handling regulations.
  • Strong organization and prioritization skills.
  • Projects a calm, professional demeanor at all times and works well under pressure.
  • Must be reliable and punctual. 
  • Self-motivated and is accountable for one’s actions. 
  • High level of skill and accuracy within a limited timeframe. 

Requirements

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • 1 to 3 years prior experience as a cook,prep-cook, line-cook, preferred. 
  • 18 years old.
  • Fluent, written and conversational, English.
  • Comfortable working in a hot and noisy environment. 
  • Must be able to stand for long periods and move freely about the Club’s kitchens. 
  • Frequently lifts, carries, pulls, and pushes up to 40 lbs.

EXPECTED WORK HOURS

  • This is a partial-year or seasonal position with a full-time schedule (32 hours per week)
  • Daily shifts available starting as early as 6:00 am and ending as late as 8:00 pm.
  • Should be open to a flexible schedule as needed based on business needs, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Overtime may be required to meet increased membership needs. Required overtime could extend the workday to 10 hours.
