Shipping Clerk at Olson Baking Company
The Olson Baking Company is a leading manufacturer of Frozen Baked Goods for Grocery Stores all over the US. We are seeking a Shipping Clerk for full-time employment. We have a great amount of pride in our company and want to find an employee who enjoys being part of our team.
Position: Shipping Clerk
Starting Pay: $20 to $22 (DOE)
Type: Full Time
This job opening is for the Day Shift. Hours of availability need to be between 7am - 7pm Monday to Friday. Hours may vary Shifts are typically 8-10 hrs 4-5 days a week but may vary due to our production schedule.
Our ideal candidate is reliable, possesses strong verbal/written communication skills, and works well in a busy environment alongside the rest of our Production Team. They will be able to stand for long periods of time at a moving conveyor belt with products moving quickly down the line.
Must have excellent attendance!

SKILLS/ABILITIES:

• Good with your hands and quick on your feet
• Communicates well with the rest of the team
• Ability to operate forklift and pallet jack
• Ability to focus in a busy environment
• Ability to stand at or near a moving conveyor belt
• Ability to notice and prevent mistakes
• Ability and desire to work as a team

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Hours of standing and walking on hard surfaces
• The ability to frequently lift 25lbs
• Frequent lifting, stooping, bending, twisting, and balancing
• Frequent grasping and repetitive movement or pressure involving wrists or hands
• Satisfactory hearing and vision are required, as is depth perception, color vision, and quick mental and muscular coordination

DUTIES: (Some may not be listed here)

• Using pallet jack and forklift to move pallets of baked goods
• Loading and unloading trucks
• Assembling partial orders on pallets
• Ensuring the accuracy of pallet labels
• Light cleaning
• Light paperwork
• Packaging on the line when needed
