In this role, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the Newark Branch located in Lebanon, NJ.
This division is a key department in Oliver, reporting to the VP of Operations, Michael Greco. This division
is responsible for the sale and execution of projects throughout the Newark Local 696 territory.
This is not a remote position.

Responsibilities:

• Meet planned growth, profit, and customer retention goals through leadership and management
of staff
• Strive to exceed customer expectations by satisfying their needs in a timely, cost effective and
high-quality manner
• Plan, organize, and staff key office and field positions to support overall department goals and
objectives
• Schedule, assign, and direct work of department staff
• Knowledge regarding NFPA and building codes related to fire protection
• Attending walk throughs, visiting customers, and steady involvement with relevant associations
• Meet or exceed given departmental sales goals
• Review sales team activities to provide accountability and problem-solving feedback
• Conduct scheduled 1 on 1 and full team meetings
• Provide strategic insight and guidance to help reach our revenue goals, profit goals, sales goals,
create stronger brands, and foster customer retention
• Analyze competitor’s capabilities and approaches to diminish their impact
• Understand and prioritize work to ensure we exceed expectations of customer satisfaction
• Implement and maintain a pricing strategy while ensuring departmental profit objectives
• Review and analyze, with the Sales Team, large estimates to assure proper pricing and job
estimates
• Establish broad and deep relationships with strategic customer roles with decision making
authority or influence in the organization
• Proactively identify value-creation opportunities for customers
• Take the lead in communicating direction and progress / status of deals to senior leadership
• Participate in further education and training courses
• Participate in extra-curricular associations for strong marketing presence

Branch Manager Requirements and Qualifications

• 10 years fire protection experience
• 3 years of management experience
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business preferred
• Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
• Encouraging to team and staff; able to mentor and lead
• Eager to expand branch with new accounts and clients
• Creative problem solver who thrives when presented with a challenge
• Assists team members when needed to accomplish branch goals

• Accurate and precise attention to detail
• Significant previous experience in the Fire Protection Industry
