The Olive Branch Solution is seeking a Plant Manager for a manufacturing company in the Richmond, Virginia area.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Responsible for the financial management of the P&L facility.
  • Effectively lead the workforce, instilling motivation and communicating effectively to achieve maximum results.
  • Reviews costs and product quality and modifies production and inventory control programs to maintain and enhance profitable operation of the facility.
  • Ensures compliance with product quality standards and safety regulations.
  • Acts as a local liaison with customer relationships, conferring with customers and representatives.
  • The Plant Manager must be skilled in root cause analysis and identify opportunities for improvement in the plant and in the office management.
  • Suggests solutions and encourages a culture of problem solving in the plant.
  • Control and minimize labor overtime and repair expenses.
  • Apply sound communication and motivational techniques in supervising, counseling, and disciplining subordinates.
  • Implement and document an appropriate performance evaluation for recommending promotions, wage increases, and terminations.
  • Maintain existing plant facilities and equipment; replace or adjust plant facilities and equipment when necessary.
  • Coordinate activities through planning with department managers to ensure the company objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Implement an appropriate performance evaluation system for recommending promotions, wage increases, and terminations.
  • Provide guidance to the development of pallet repair and sortation process plan, including personnel requirements, material needs, subcontract requirements, facility needs, and tooling and equipment needs.
  • Review production and operating reports and direct the resolution of operational, pallet repair and sortation, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.
  • Determine responsibilities of assigned organization and staff positions to accomplish business objectives and maintain vendor relationships.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years in a warehousing or production environment in a leadership role.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in a related area.
  • Working knowledge of budgets and financial statements.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Equipment Maintenance/Mechanical Experience is preferred.
  • More Than 5 Years of experience and knowledge of:
  • Logistics
  • Operations Management
  • Budgets; High Proficiency in Profit and Loss Analysis
  • Risk Management
  • Compliance
  • Onboarding & Recruitment
  • Must have the ability to prioritize workload and manage time remotely
  • Excellent negotiation skills to deal effectively with individuals and groups within and outside the organization
  • Timeliness and responsive professional support to all internal/external customers and vendors
  • Proven leadership and collaboration skills with the ability to effectively supervise, coach and influence employees.
  • Identifies opportunities to increase accuracy and optimize resources and develops/recommends/implements solutions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must possess strong interpersonal skills.
