Join our winning team as a Communications Specialistin Clayton, MO. Olin is seeking a top-notch communications writer who will enhance our corporate and business narratives through effective writing and aligned brand messaging. Our small global communications team is agile, moves at efficient speed, and relies on minimal agency support.

As a global communications subject matter expert, this new role will create inspiring internal and external communications that resonate and lift our employees and customers and support our businesses and corporate teams with execution, measurement, and optimization of messaging. The role will have a strong emphasis on ensuring corporate brand and content alignment.

Communications Specialist Essential Job Functions:
  • Create, edit, and deliver strategic & tactical communications
  • Develop clear & concise written and digital content that conveys information with clarity and brevity, ensuring messages are understood across diverse, global teams
  • Assist with the review and validation of brand alignment for all external content, including layout and design
  • Help innovate communications via new thinking & tools
  • Take on special assignments as needed
Communications Specialist Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree* in Journalism, Communications, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated successful experience in business writing communications
  • Prior public relations or marketing communications agency experience is preferred
  • Exceptional writing skills
  • Ability to think creatively and strategically while diving into the work to produce on-brand content
  • Outstanding attention to detail
  • Initiative taker with the ability to work independently
  • Effectively works within team and individually, with a bias for action - going above and beyond to ensure responsibilities and deadlines are met
  • Strong project management and interpersonal skills
  • Prioritize competing demands and projects under tight deadlines, accept criticism and constructive feedback, while remaining adaptable and flexible in approach
  • Comfortable interacting and speaking with senior leadership
  • Unquestioned ethics and integrity
  • Some travel required, up to 10%
