POSITION OVERVIEW As a Supervisor at Ole & Steen, you will join a dynamic, fun, and positive workplace bringing Danish pastries, bread, and coffee to NYC. You are responsible for the team and the store during your shift. You will work closely with the General Manager to ensure the quality of the guest experience, whether providing a welcoming smile, perfecting the display and sale of our products, ensuring the cleanliness and ambience of our bakery, and making sure everyone has a happy environment to enjoy as a guest or colleague.
The right person for this role is a service-oriented people person, who brings personality and enthusiasm to their work. You enjoy the buzz of working in fast-paced environments and seek prep work during slower times. You have a positive attitude and are willing to be the best example to the team. You proactively manage your time, and love finding ways to help wherever you can.

- NYC food protection certification is preferred

- Barista experience is a plus (but not required)
- Available to work flexible hours that includes early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays

ABOUT OLE & STEEN Ole & Steen was founded in 1991 by the Danish bakers Ole Kristoffersen and Steen Skallebk and originally called Lagkagehuset or The Layer Cake House. Ole & Steen is pioneer in the resurgence of artisanal and handcrafted baking practices in Denmark. In 2008 the two bakers joined forces and became the organization we know today.
