Essential Functions

• Prepares surgical suite supplies and equipment to ensure the needs of the surgical team are met.
• Utilizes equipment according manufacturer’s recommendations and facility policies and procedures.
• Monitors, positions, and assists during procedures.
• Ability to address all aspects of care related to the surgical environment.
• Ensures on-going communication with the surgeon, anesthesiologist, and other members of the surgical team.
• Assists with the preparation and turnover of room to ensure optimal efficiency.
• Ensure the O.R.’s are adequately stocked for cases.
• Pulls cases for the next day when requested.
• Provides input regarding equipment needs and supplies.
• Demonstrates cost containment techniques.
• Utilizes time effectively.
• Adheres to established safety requirements and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
• Demonstrates good judgement and reasoning when investigating and solving problems.
• Demonstrates excellent prioritization and problem-solving skills.
• Provides and maintains an organized field and physical environment following infection control guidelines and policies and procedures.
• Works well with supervisor and all others in positions of authority
• Promotes a high degree of cooperation, communication and coordination with other employees and physicians.

Skills and Requirements

• Nursing Degree from an accredited nursing school. License to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Arizona.
• Minimum 1 year recent Operating Room experience. Orthopedic Spine Surgery experience preferred.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour
