Volunteer Opportunities With Old Salem

Volunteers play a vital role in helping Old Salem Museums & Gardens fulfill its mission to educate its diverse audiences about the rich history of early Southern life. There are many opportunities for volunteers in various departments throughout the museum.

As you know, Old Salem believes that we have the unique ability to make a difference in our community and are dedicated to service our city and its residents. With this in mind, we've decided to reach out to bring on Volunteer Door Greeters for our Education Team and Volunteer Gardeners for our Horticulture Department.

For 1 day up to 4 days per week, volunteer your unique expertise alongside our compelling storytellers in our historic buildings or our gardens.We are currently open Wednesday-Saturday from 10am-4pm.

With our niche spaces, we do prefer for our volunteers to have some experience in gardening to work in our Horticuluture Department and some knowledge of our site and the Moravian story to volunteer in our buildings.
