Summary Statement:

Under the direction of the Transportation Coordinator and Manager of the Office on Aging, drives and services bus, van and any other vehicle used in transporting special needs residents for Camp ROBIN's Friday nights programs during the spring, summer, and fall.

Requirements:

Valid New Jersey CDL license is required (CDL: B for size of bus – 26,001 tons; P which means you can transport passengers).

Working knowledge of the principles of the operation of passenger vehicles.

Working knowledge of traffic and ordinances regulating the operation of automotive vehicles.

Knowledge of the geography of the community (about 42 square miles).

Ability to operate vans and buses skillfully and safely.

Ability to operate a wheelchair lift.

Ability to detect needed repairs to automotive vehicles and equipment.

Ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with other employees and the general public.

Examples of Work:

Drives and services bus, van and any other vehicle used in transporting special needs residents for Camp ROBIN's Friday nights programs during the spring, summer, and fall.

Maintains interior and exterior cleaning of automotive vehicles: sweep buses, wipe seats, clean windows. Complete trip walk-around sheet.

Maintains necessary forms and records related to operation of vehicle and/or passengers.

Aids other bus drivers with disabled or other passengers.

Performs other duties as required by Manager.
