OKLAHOMA VASCULAR AND EMBOLIZATION CENTER BY FLEX... is Hiring a Scrub Tech Near Oklahoma, OK

1. Pre-operative Preparation: Assist with preparing the operating room for surgical procedures, including setting up surgical instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies. Ensure all equipment is properly sterilized and functioning correctly.

2. Patient Preparation: Assist with positioning and draping patients for surgery. Prepare surgical sites by cleaning and disinfecting the area according to established protocols. Apply sterile dressings as directed by the surgeon.

3. Instrumentation: Pass instruments and supplies to surgeons and surgical assistants during procedures. Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and provide additional instruments or supplies as requested.

4. Surgical Assistance: Assist surgeons and other healthcare providers during surgical procedures by holding retractors, suctioning blood, and fluids, and providing hemostasis as directed. Maintain a sterile field and adhere to aseptic technique throughout the procedure.

5. Equipment Operation: Operate surgical equipment and devices, such as electrosurgical units, suction devices, and endoscopic cameras, under the direction of the surgeon or registered nurse.

6. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of surgical procedures, including counts of surgical instruments, sponges, and needles. Ensure all documentation is complete, timely, and compliant with healthcare regulations.

7. Post-operative Care: Assist with transferring patients to the post-anesthesia care unit (PACU) or surgical recovery area. Provide post-operative care instructions to patients and their families as directed by the surgeon or registered nurse.
