Oklahoma State University is Hiring a Sponsored Programs Specialist/Coordinator Near Stillwater, OK

Central Sponsored Programs Administration (CSPA) within the Division of the Vice President for Research at Oklahoma State University is seeking a Sponsored Programs Specialist/Coordinator to join the CSPA office. This position provides support for pre-award activities for Administrative Units under the supervision of the Assistant Vice President for CSPA. The major functions of this position may include: Preparation and submission of proposals; develop proposal budgets; obtain cost share approval; review proposal submissions and new awards for regulatory and fiscal compliance; assist with routing and status monitoring of proposals and awards; report changes to funding agency requirements; prepare, coordinate and monitor subcontracts; participate in sponsor audits; conduct/participate in workshops/training; communicate policies and procedures to faculty and staff; coordinate with other colleges and external institutions; facilitate contract negotiations.

Required Qualifications: High school/GED and four years of experience in Research Administration or another closely related field. Post-secondary education may be substituted for experience.
A positive and professional attitude, and willingness to assist as needed are expectations for all employees. The Sponsored Programs Specialist/Coordinator will have excellent oral and written communication skills. They must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat Professional, and the ability to adapt to various online sponsored program systems. The Sponsored Programs Specialist/Coordinator must be self-motivated and capable of managing multiple projects under strict deadlines. Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and previous experience in Research Administration, with knowledge of grants and contracts regulations; budget development; technical reporting; proposal submission; etc. Demonstrated abilities with proposal development and grant fiscal and regulatory compliance. Certified Research Administrator (CRA)
