Assist the Human Resource Manager with day to day support functions in the Human Resources office which service approximately 605 employees located in the Student Union, Campus Life and Dining Services.
Manages daily operations within the Human Resource office with a focus on administration/process of payroll, new hire paperwork and submit and monitor EPAF for timely processing. Ability to complete necessary simple to complex Banner tasks, Cornerstone/People Admin systems and processes. Oversee and field benefit/payroll/new hire questions, assist with benefit process and various HR situations within scope. Manages and coordinates training and resolution of payroll related functions and issues at the HR level; Advising departments on payroll related questions to communicate and interpret policy guidance and best practices. Closely working with OSU payroll services, HR new hire and HR benefits departments as the liaison to assist and aid in resolving any issues within any of these departments.
Requires the ability to lift 25 pounds and use proper ergonomics.

Position Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
High School/GED
Five years of progressive administrative experience.
Ability to work independently to initiate/coordinate projects, organize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and follow through to completion.
The ability to handle confidential information and personnel matters professionally is required.
Must possess critical thinking skills to assess situations and problem solve. Anticipating problems and troubleshooting problem areas for a diverse workforce within administration, staff, and students.
Ability to provide excellent customer service with both verbal and written communication skills.
Must be familiar and proficient with MS Office suite. Word, Outlook and the ability to establish and maintain spread sheets and databases in order to generate requested reports.
Ability to learn and work across multiple systems and platforms. (including Human Resource Information System (Banner), applicant tracking system, position description system, learning management system and more.)
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or related field
