The Robust Electromagnetic Field Testing and Simulation Lab in Oklahoma State University's School of Electrical and Computer Engineering is seeking a Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join its team.
The Postdoctoral Research Fellow serves as a research trainee for the purpose of enhancing and developing research competencies. Participates in planning, designing and conducting highly technical research projects under the direction of a supervisor. May or may not work independently. Analyzes research data and provides interpretations. Contributes to the development of research documentation for publication and/or prepares technical reports, papers and/or records.
This position will involve working in an interdisciplinary team that is developing methods for the assessment of system level EMC to wireless networks, communication systems, and unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) and applying them in practice. Current projects involve UAS applications and the development of methods for application of absorbing materials in reducing emissions.
The position carries a competitive salary plus benefits, travel, office space, and access to anechoic and reverberation chambers for research use. The successful applicant will be expected to perform innovative translational research, mentor PhD students, give oral presentations, write journal papers, and participate in grant writing.

Education & ExperiencePosition Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications: Ph.D./Ed.D. Electrical Engineering
PhD theses must be in Electromagnetic Compatibility, Computational Electromagnetics, or closely related fields.
Must be able to contribute to projects involving electromagnetic measurements, electromagnetic compatibility (emissions and susceptibility), antenna design and testing, modeling and optimization, sensor development, and RF filters.
Good oral/written communications skills (e.g. publications and talks in IEEE Symposia
Experience with MATLAB and electromagnetic computational tools.
Preferred Qualifications: Ph.D./Ed.D in Electrical or Computer Engineering
Field of Study: Electromagnetic Compatibility or Communication Systems
Industry experience, especially in measurement of RF circuit performance in RF chambers is preferred. Characterization of wireless systems (MIMO, EMC, Spectrum Engineering). Experience in grant writing. (e.g. NSF proposals, industry SBIRs, etc.)
Experience with FEKO, ADS, HFSS, and CST Microwave Studio.
