This position is responsible for assisting with daily processing of diagnostic specimens, data entry into the laboratory's software system, dissection of deceased animals submitted for autopsy, maintenance of clean and safe laboratory spaces, disposal of animal and laboratory biohazardous waste, laundry, cleaning and autoclaving glassware. All other duties as assigned.

Position Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
High School/GED
Four years related experience - serving and interacting with the public and successfully managing daily workload responsibilities.
Valid driver's license is required.
Must be able to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with veterinarians, animal owners and co-workers. Must provide excellent customer service and follow laboratory procedures. Dependable, courteous, conscientious team player with attention to detail and problem solving skills are required.
General knowledge of mammalian anatomy and ability to recognize major organs and tissues is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
4 years experience in an animal diagnostic laboratory setting or some type of related laboratory setting.
