Oklahoma State University is Hiring an Athletic Trainer Near Stillwater, OK

Job Summary:
The athletic training position is comprised of serving as the athletic trainer for the Tulsa Oilers Arena Football. The duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Develop overall sports medicine program for the team, including: injury prevention programs, injury evaluations, injury management, injury treatment and rehabilitation, educational programs, and counseling for players
  • Provide athletic training services for the team including attendance at scheduled team practices and home and away competitions
  • Coordinate and schedule physical examinations and medical referrals to determine their ability to practice and compete
  • Work in conjunction with the strength and conditioning staff to ensure safety in the design and implementation of fitness, nutrition, and conditioning programs customized to meet individual needs
  • Develop and implement the sports medical program budget
  • Liaison between patients and physicians
  • Record keeping and documentation

Environmental Hazards:
Possible exposure to hazardous material, hot and cold, blood borne pathogens.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift, carry, push and pull 50 pounds, stoop, reach, stand, walk, finger, grasp, feel, talk, hear, see, and perform repetitive motions with or without reasonable accommodations.

Position Qualifications:

Required:
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
  • At least 2 years of professional experience
  • Must be NATA BOC certified and possess or be in the process of acquiring state licensure
Preferred:
  • Masters Degree
