Advises undergraduate students participating in the TRiO Student Support Services program. The incumbent is responsible for identification, recruitment, enrollment, retention, and provision of services to eligible participants, which includes discussion of academic and professional goals, tracking of progress toward and completion of requirements for graduation, career counseling, providing information on financial aid, tutoring, information about admission to graduate school, and other activities related to the goals and objectives of the program. This position will also coordinate the tutorial assistance component of TRiO SSS, by assisting in the hiring, supervision and evaluation of tutors; coordination of tutor training component; and maintaining accurate written and electronic tutoring records.

Position Qualifications:

Required:

Bachelor's

Zero -two years of experience in education or similar field.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, human relations skills, and sensitivity to the needs of the disadvantaged.

Preferred:

Previous experience in TRiO programs or other entities providing services to underrepresented populations in higher education.
