Job Summary:

Job Summary:
Position supports OSU CHS’s research program by maintaining shared research equipment, facilities, and resources. Trains users on how to operate core lab equipment. Assists with annual OSU CHS Research Week planning. Coordinates OKStars summer research program.
Environmental Hazards:
Possible exposure to hazardous material, hot and cold, blood borne pathogens.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry 8-10 pounds, stoop, reach, stand, walk, finger,grasp, feel, talk, hear, see, and perform repetitive motions with or withoutreasonable accommodations.

Education & Experience

Position Qualifications:

Required:
-Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
-2 years of experience in a teaching and/or research laboratory, as a lab technician or similar
-Travel is required, including travel for training and professional development
-Valid Driver's License 

Skills, Proficiencies, and Knowledge:
-Proficient computer skills, which includes MS Office applications and database applications.
-Written and oral communication must routinely be clear and concise. Ability to communicate with a diverse audience of professionals and students.
-Team- and customer-based performance. 
-Must be reliable and detail oriented, possess superb organizational skills, and be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
-Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple tasks in an organized manner while carrying out tasks accurately.
-Ability to maintain professional standards under routine conditions of non-negotiable time constraints.
Preferred:
-Any degree in science, such as chemistry or biological sciences
-Experience in working in higher education setting
