Job Summary:

Inform and prepare candidates for application to the DVM program. Advise prospective students regarding application requirements, applicant statistics, financial aid, cost of attendance, and services available at the College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM). Coordinate activities and events related to the recruitment of prospective DVM students including New Student Orientation, CVM Open House, Early Admission Orientation, and Admitted Student Day. Oversee all CVM recruitment activities including tours/campus visits and the Early Admission Program. Implement admissions policies and procedures. Develop and maintain informational/educational publications. Coordinate public presentations and admissions seminars. Update the CVM website for optimum accuracy and accessibility. Collaborate with CVM Public Relations to develop and maintain a comprehensive marketing and communications plan to attract high quality perspective students. Serve as an advisor and manage the CVM Student Ambassador Program. Provide leadership in facilitating special initiatives as assigned. Occasional travel is expected to develop relationships and programs with undergraduate pre-veterinary advisors and students. Some travel is required. Some projects/events require working after hours and on weekends

Position Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a related field of study. One year's experience in higher education. Experience as an Admission Counselor or College Representative. One or more years of customer service experience with an emphasis on building relationships.

Valid Driver's license

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree and seven years experience in higher education. Experience as an Admission Counselor or College Representative. One or more years of customer service experience with an emphasis on building relationships. 

Proficient in the use of SIS, Access, Excel, Word, Publisher, & Power Point. Knowledge of University standards, policies, practices and procedures. Ability to multitask.
