The Oklahoma Athletic Center is a premier athletic facility dedicated to providing a comprehensive and high-quality fitness experience for our members. We offer a variety of amenities, including state-of-the-art gyms, multiple indoor and outdoor courts, and on-site concessions.

Job Summary:

The Courts Manager plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation and member satisfaction within the court and gym areas of the OAC. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of court and gym management, including scheduling, staff supervision, equipment maintenance, and concession operations.

Responsibilities:

• Court & Gym Management:
• Develop and maintain court and gym schedules that meet member needs and maximize facility usage.
• Oversee court and gym setup and breakdown for leagues, classes, and individual use.
• Ensure courts and gyms are clean, safe, and well-maintained.
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment and report any maintenance needs.
• Implement safety protocols and enforce appropriate use of courts and gym equipment.
• Staff Supervision:
• Lead and motivate a team of court monitors, referees, and gym staff.
• Develop and implement training programs for staff to ensure they can effectively manage courts, gyms, and interact with members.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching to staff.
• Maintain a positive and professional work environment.
• Member Services:
• Address member inquiries and concerns regarding court and gym usage.
• Ensure a welcoming and positive experience for all members using the courts and gyms.
• Assist with resolving member conflicts or issues related to court and gym use.
• Concessions:
• Oversee daily operations of the on-site concession stand within the court and gym areas.
• Develop and maintain concession menus that meet member needs.
• Manage inventory and ensure concession supplies are adequately stocked.
• Lead concession staff in maintaining cleanliness and following food safety protocols.
• Other Duties:
• Participate in developing and implementing marketing strategies to promote court and gym usage.
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices for court and gym management.
• Generate reports on court and gym usage, member feedback, and concession sales.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the OAC management team.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a supervisory role within the fitness industry, recreation center, or similar environment.
• Proven experience in managing court and/or gym operations, including scheduling, equipment maintenance, and member services.
• Strong understanding of safety protocols in a fitness setting.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to lead and motivate a team.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including scheduling software a plus.
• Experience in concession operations and inventory management preferred.
• First Aid and CPR certification preferred.

Pay: $37,440.00 - $40,900.00 per year
