Oki Golf has an opportunity for a talented Accounting Intern to join our team this summer. In this position, you will assist the accounting team in a variety of areas to ensure information in the company's financial statements is accurate. The Accounting Intern reports to the Controller. This internship provides opportunities to work directly with leaders across the business, develop mentoring relationships with experienced accountants, and gain valuable hands-on experience. Internship Duration: 6/15/2024-9/15/2024Location: Oki Golf Home Office, 13201 NE Bel Red Rd. Bellevue, WA 98005Compensation: $20.00-$22.00 per hourHours: 30-32 per weekESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Support the Accounts Payable and Account Receivable during our busy summer seasonReview accounts payable batches processed at properties for accuracy Prepare checks for signing and mailing to vendorsCorrespond with vendors, property staff, and other stakeholders in both written and verbal communication.Assist with month-end close including preparing journal entries, G/L account reconciliations, and credit card reconciliationsAssist in setting up the members and making member adjustmentsFile accounts payable checks and related documents.Other duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Junior status at an accredited college with a major in accounting or finance, or any satisfactory equivalent combination of experience and training Excellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to multi-taskResourceful and a self-starterAnalytical thinkingSense of urgencyProficient in Microsoft OfficeWorks well with others within and across teams to solve problemsAble to represent Oki Golf in a professional manner when dealing with internal and external vendors WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those a team member encounters while performing the essential functions of this position.
