The Artist Cottage & Apothecary Prep Attendant is responsible for facilitating self-guided activities and hosting guests during our Open Studio hours. He/she will assist in setting up art and apothecary projects, providing guidance on projects, and cleaning up workstations and supplies, in a space with high turnover in peak seasons. He/she will provide support to the Artist Cottage Coordinator as needed including assisting with facilitating activities for private group bookings. Essential: A strong interest in art and essential oils, previous experience in hospitality and customer servicePossesses the ability to teach art to novices as well as expert artists or art enthusiastsProven ability to interact, in a professional manner, with guests and associates at all levels to explain programs/experiencesProven ability to represent the Ojai Valley Inn & Spa, in a professional manner, in communicating with guests, community, press & mediaSolid understanding of needs of luxury traveler and ability to provide related services, activities and amenities to enhance the overall experience at OVI&SPossesses a high degree of imagination and flexibility to produce the best possible outcome in any given situation with regard to guest and associate experiencesDesirable:Knowledge of various cultural influences in art and other customsPolished, professional and welcoming demeanor.
