OHU Job Board is Hiring an IPS Case Aide - $1,000 Sign On Bonus Near Chicago, IL

$1,000 Sign On Bonus; Pay out $500 initial, $250 at 6 months, $250 at one year of employment. 

General Duties and Responsibilities

  • Reports to the Child Abuse Hotline as directed by the Mandated Reporter Act.
  • Will provide exceptional customer service to parents, foster caregivers, referring case agencies, and other team members.
  • Conducts frequent regional and all-state in-person and virtual team meetings with staff, referring case agency and community partners.
  • Participates in frequent agency management meetings and work groups.
  • Will Maintain discretion, as they are entrusted with a client’s personal information and knowledge of their unique situation. This confidentiality extends to ensuring client data is secure. 
  • Reports any exposure to communicable diseases.
  • Submits expense vouchers, renewed driver's licenses, and automobile insurance coverage on the due date.
  • Support the creation and maintenance of programmatic information in Microsoft Teams and on the SharePoint site.
  • Will assist with updating client demographic and other data in the IPS database.
  • Will ensure weekly filing of all IPS, Mentoring, and FPSS documents in client files.
  • Direct paperwork to client files and archive files according to predetermined storage procedure with AOA and direct supervisor.
  • Create client files and paperwork packets to be used for client meetings by IPS case managers and clinicians.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Will serve as an effective problem solver. Supporting IPS case managers and clinicians with administrative tasks, while maintaining knowledge of current OHU programs and services to offer practical and timely solutions for families.
  • Position is full time with anticipated schedule 8:30 am- 5 pm or later as needed
  • Responsible for overseeing multiple client files at a time, ensuring information is accurate, preparing and maintaining case files, and keeping detailed records in Northern IPS offices of Kenwood, Chicago. 
  • Remain up to date on applicable document changes.
  • Support input in the IPS database of sessions, strength-based purchases, and communications with referring case agency and DCFS contract holder.
  • Will participate in weekly IPS Check-Ins with all state IPS and FPSS teams.
  • Will participate in Attachment, Regulation, and Competency training.
  • Will complete Database Data Entry for several IPS sites, per funder requirement
  • Will assist with transport as approved and needed for youth
  • Will participate in Strength based delivery of items or research
  • Will complete several administrative tasks within IPS funder requirements
  • This position will require travel to local coverage area offices for internal and external reviews, training, and meetings.
  • Maintain positive relationships with other agencies and community members as applicable.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualification

Education:

GED

High School diploma preferred

Experience:

1-year administrative assistant experience with Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Proficient in all Microsoft, Excel, and Adobe Office applications or equivalent combination of education or experience, preferred.

Other:

Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and acceptable driving record with OHU required levels of coverage for auto insurance Parenting training are appreciated, but not required.

  • Proficient computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment and adaptive skills to expand software application skills, as necessary

Physical Demands & Work Environment

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The position requires visual and auditory acuity within professionally determined normal ranges, with correction if needed; and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer and office equipment, including, but not limited to, the telephone, computer, and copier. The employee is occasionally required to move items up to 50 pounds.

The employee works in varied residential environments based on an assigned caseload and may encounter unpredictable clients. While performing the duties of this position, the employee travels by automobile and is exposed to changing weather conditions. The employee must be able to enter and exit a vehicle or a building without assistance. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may frequently drive an automobile, taking clients to appointments, in the local and regional areas. Occasionally, travel is outside the local area and overnight.
