Responsibilities

  • Under the direction of the Supervisor, leads the day to day activities and assignments of assigned scheduling staff and/or other related staff members.
  • Advises and assists staff on problem solving patient/customer issues.
  • Assists Supervisor with scheduling employee time off and daily work assignments
  • Addresses physician complaints or issues associated with operations of the scheduling issues.
  • Provides statistical reporting of daily call volume, pre-reg, scheduling errors, work queue
  • Works with manager to develop flow processes leading to decreased errors and increased efficiencies
  • Provides technical and discretionary advice to physicians and staff.
  • Trains and cross trains new staff in all aspects regarding the Scheduling departments.
  • Provides in-service training staff on issues related to scheduling patient appointments and physician’s schedule changes.
  • Recommends progressive disciplinary measures including termination or probationary removals to appropriate supervisor.
  • Actively participates as a Super User
  • Travel may be required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or Associates degree in a related area with three to five years of related experience in office management, patient services and scheduling, or supervisory experience in a call center environment.
  • Experience with computerized systems, such as scheduling, billing, registration, etc.
  • Analytical ability to gather and interpret data and develop, recommend, and implement solutions.
  • Excellent customer service skills coupled with enthusiasm and compassion along with the ability to multitask working in a fast paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive, confidential situations and establish effective working relationships with patients, physicians, team members, and others throughout the clinics.
  • Ability to maintain annual training required for EPIC certification.

Pay Range

USD $19.73 - USD $29.59 /Yr.
