Ohio Foot & Ankle Specialists is Hiring a Medical Receptionist Near Chardon, OH

Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and organized Medical Receptionist to join our team. As a Medical Receptionist, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, managing patient appointments, and ensuring smooth operations at the front desk. The ideal candidate will have experience in a medical office setting and possess strong administrative skills. Must be willing to travel to our timeshare office in Westlake once a week.

Duties:
- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments using Medent
- Collect patient information, update records, and verify insurance coverage & eligibility
- Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and direct calls to appropriate staff members
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
- Follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality
- Collaborate with medical staff to coordinate patient care
- Handle billing inquiries and process payments accurately

Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist is preferred, but not mandatory. If you're willing to learn, we are willing to teach you
- Familiarity with medical terminology is a plus
- Proficient in using office equipment such as computers, printers, and scanners
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle difficult situations professionally
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and compliance
