Hale Makua Kahului in Kahului, Hawaii is looking for a Business Services Representative serves as the liaison between our guests and their families and the business services department. Meets with guests and families upon admission and at discharge to discuss insurance coverages and financial arrangements.

Shift: Day shift, 8:00am - 4:30pm, Monday - Friday

Duties include but are not limited:

• Greets and receives visitors and callers.
• Processes payments received.
• Assists residents with Medicaid eligibility review.
• Generates facility letters regarding coverage and non-coverage.
• Attends Medicare meetings, communicates discharges and/or level of care changes.
• Complete insurance verifications.
• Handles resident trust accounts and petty cash disbursements.

Requirements:

• Associate Degree in Accounting or a combination of education and experience in healthcare related field.
• One (1) year of experience in Accounting, healthcare/medical billing, or related field.
• Experience with multi-facility billing and collections.
• Experience working in a long-term health care environment preferred.
• First Aid and CPR preferred. (can be done in-house).
• Must have current medical/health screening including 2 step TB clearance (can be done in-house).
