Lead Staff Job Description
The purpose of the Lead Staff position is to help provide leadership in the home for staff as well as members. This means that the Lead Staff will partner with the House Manager and Assistant Manager to ensure all staff is properly trained and being cared for. The Lead Staff will also be responsible for creating a safe environment for all members and making sure all member rights are being upheld. A Lead Staff will be responsible for working a minimum of 3 shifts for day/evening shifts and a minimum of 4 shifts for overnight shifts as the primary leader within the home in order to be the main point of contact for staff and members when concerns and/or needs arise. The Lead Staff is responsible for intentionally investing in staff by ensuring they are properly trained in Ohana policies and procedures, holding staff accountable for being professional, and taking time to care for staff as individual people. The Lead Staff is also responsible for ensuring all household duties are properly delegated and completed when working as the sole leader within the house. Able to fulfill other duties as assigned by the House Manager.
