OGS Industries is Hiring an Engineering Co-Op Near Akron, OH

Job Summary:

The Engineering Co-Op will assist the Process Engineer, Continuous Improvement Manager, Quality Manager and other technical and managerial positions with Engineering related functions in the establishment and maintaining best practice manufacturing industrial processes and procedures.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Review processes and equipment to ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations.
  • Assist with troubleshooting problems associated with manufacturing processes.
  • Assist with cost saving initiatives to reduce setup/tear down times, cycle times, labor requirements, and scrap.
  • Assist with analyzing process data and KPI’s for variances and opportunities to improve process efficiencies.
  • Assist with implementation of industrial automation processes.
  • Assist with development of work instructions for all aspects of business and manufacturing processes.
  • Perform other duties and tasks as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Understanding of business ERP systems.
  • Understanding of AS9100 and IATF16949 quality system standards.
  • Ability to use in common CAD Software suites.

Education and Experience:

Currently enrolled in an accredited 2–4-year Engineering program in the following disciplines: Mechanical, Industrial, Automation, or similar programs.
