Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Law Enforcement Officer to join our team. As a Law Enforcement Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining public safety, enforcing laws, and protecting lives and property within our jurisdiction. Responsibilities: - Patrol assigned areas to deter crime and ensure public safety - Respond to emergency calls and provide assistance as needed - Conduct investigations into criminal activities - Gather evidence, interview witnesses, and prepare detailed reports - Make arrests and apprehend suspects - Enforce traffic laws and issue citations when necessary - Conduct surveillance operations to gather intelligence - Collaborate with other law enforcement agencies on joint operations - Provide support during major events or emergencies - Maintain accurate records of all activities Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework preferred - Completion of a certified law enforcement training program or academy - Valid driver's license with a clean driving record - Strong physical fitness and ability to pass physical agility tests - Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal - Ability to remain calm and make quick decisions in high-pressure situations - Knowledge of criminal investigation techniques and procedures - Familiarity with loss prevention strategies - Proficiency in report writing and documentation - Ability to handle animals safely and effectively (animal handling experience preferred) - CPR certification (or willingness to obtain) - Ability to maintain confidentiality and exhibit professionalism at all times We offer competitive pay, comprehensive benefits package, ongoing training opportunities, and the chance to make a positive impact on our community.
