ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Systems Analyst III:
Education: Graduation from high school or equivalent
Experience: Four years of full-time experience working in the following (or closely related) fields: computer science, computer information systems, management information systems; may substitute credit hours from an accredited college or university for the required experience on a year-for-year basisA
Experience with Python programming language for data analysis, manipulation, and automation tasks. Familiarity with relevant Python libraries and frameworks.
Knowledge and understanding of data analytics principles, techniques, and methodologies. Knowledge of data modeling concepts and techniques for designing efficient and effective databases.
Knowledge and proficiency in systems analysis techniques and methodologies, with a solid understanding of computer technology principles and concepts.
Knowledge and familiarity with software development lifecycle processes, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and deployment.
Knowledge of database management systems and data analysis techniques.
Skill and proficiency in working with relational database management systems (RDBMS) such as PostgreSQL.
Skill and understanding of project management principles and methodologies, with exposure to Agile frameworks such as Scrum or Kanban.
Ability to analyze complex datasets, identify patterns, trends, and insights, and draw meaningful conclusions.
Ability and strong problem-solving skills with a logical and analytical approach to address data-related challenges and issues.
Ability to think critically, evaluate alternative solutions, and make informed decisions based on data and evidence.
Skill in strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to dissect complex issues and develop practical solutions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Skill and proficiency in agile project management, with experience leading cross-functional teams and managing project timelines and deliverables.
Skill in adaptability and resilience with experience in agile-at-scale environments, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Skill in exercising sound judgment and effective decision making
Ability to translate technical concepts and findings into non-technical language for diverse audiences.
Ability and commitment to upholding ethical standards and confidentiality in handling sensitive data and information.
Ability to receive and respond positively to constructive feedback.
Ability to work cooperatively with others in a professional environment, to include professional demeanor and integrity in all interactions and activities related to data analytics projects and responsibilities.
Ability to work in person at an OAG work location, if needed
Ability to arrange for personal transportation for business-related travel, if needed
Ability to work more than 40 hours as needed and in compliance with the FLSA
Ability to lift and relocate 10 lbs.
Ability to travel up to 5%
Systems Analyst IV – All of the above qualifications, PLUS:
Experience: One additional year of full-time experience working in computer science, computer information systems, management information systems, or a related field.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Proficiency in using statistical techniques and tools for data analysis and hypothesis testing.
Certification as a Scrum Master or similar.
Experience leading technical projects using Agile.
