Position Summary Odyssey Systems is recruiting for a Program Manager to support research and operational health studies that have the goal of improving readiness, combat effectiveness, and soldier health. In this role, the Program Manager will work within the Department of Epidemiology. Their research is directed toward a wide spectrum of public health issues affecting military readiness and national security. Tasks may require acquiring data from multiple military sources, entering, cleaning and merging data to create an analytic dataset, performing statistical analyses, generating results, and preparing reports and presentations. ***Contingent upon contract award*** Responsibilities Duties include, but not limited to: * Serves as the Contract Manager interfacing with the Government Contracting Officer (CO), the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR), government management personnel and customer agency representatives. * Formulate and enforce work standards, assign contractor schedules, review work discrepancies, supervise contractor personnel, and communicate policies, purposes, and goals of the organization to subordinates. * Establish and maintain technical and financial reports in order to show progress to corporate management and clients. * Maintain client contacts to ensure conformity to all contractual obligations. * Ensure the development, maintenance, and implementation of work order management plans, a document which guides the performance of all functional activities performed in various task areas. * Evaluate problems, manage workflow, and organize, plan, develop, and supervise execution of appropriate analytical approaches. * Develop and deliver department analytical reports and give oral/visual presentations to professional groups. Qualifications Citizenship: Must be a US citizen Clearance: NACI clearance required, but may be required to attain Secret level clearance Education: Master's or PhD Degree in Epidemiology Years' experience: Seven years of post-graduate experience as a Principal Investigator of relevant military epidemiologic studies, experience in performing and supervising analysis of military datasets and at least five years of managerial experience * Experienced in advanced epidemiologic study design and analyses of computerized datasets. * Strong computer skills in using SAS, Epi-info, and graphical packages. * Experience with military preventive medicine issues, military populations, military structure, datasets. * Experience in epidemiologic study design and execution * Strong analytical and critical thinking skills * Strong communication skills, interpersonal, negotiation, consensus-building, and analytical skills with the ability to work successfully in cross functional teams in an organized, fast-paced environment while meeting time sensitive deadlines. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills needed to keep research team informed of progress and changes in status of work. * Must be able to work on multiple projects at the same time. * Ability to interact with military leadership and other personnel efficiently and clearly. Preferred Qualifications: * Experience with Tableau and/or other data visualization tools a plus.
