Odyssey Systems Consulting Group, Ltd. is Hiring a Financial Manager Near Dayton, OH

Position Summary

Odyssey Systems has an exciting new opportunity for a Financial Manager at a Senior level, supporting the T-6 Program, Tinker AFB, OH.

Responsibilities

Duties include, but not limited to: 

  • Provide financial management/comptroller support for the directorate. The major areas of support are cost research, cost estimating, EVM implementation and analysis, schedule networking, program control integration and analysis, and financial analysis on a wide variety of programs.
  • Interface with multiple Air Force organizations, the Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS), DoD prime and sub-contractors, and other DoD agencies during reconciliation. Tailoring of existing procedures/development of improved methods and procedures will be required.
  • Assist with providing inputs to program documentation, including inputs for the identification and development of program requirements and/or cost, schedule, technical, and program risks. These inputs efforts shall include program management plans; program baselines; work breakdown structures; program risk assessments; standard program reviews; and/or reports including SARs, MARs, and DAES. 
  • Consult with the USG concerning financial operations and provide suggestions for improvement. The Contractor shall participate in year-end closeout team activities and assist in preparation of the Program Management Administration (PMA) budget, quarterly reports, and suspenses. 
  • The Contractor shall be proficient with the majority of USAF/ AFLCMC accounting and contracting systems to assist in the performance of the tasks described below.
  • Support the program office in the management of program financial risk. This work effort shall include identification, qualification, and evaluation of schedule and cost risks contained in the annual cost and budget estimates for development and procurement/ modification programs. For all identified risks, the Contractor shall assist in the development of program impacts and propose risk mitigation strategies.
  • Subject to compliance with DoD Directive 5000.1 The Defense Acquisition System, DoD Instruction 5000.02 Operation of the Defense Acquisition System, AFI 65-501 Economic Analysis, AFI 65-502 Inflation, AFI 65-503 S. Air Force Cost and Planning Factors, AFI 65-508 Cost Analysis Guidance and Procedures, AFMAN 65-506 Economic Analysis, the AFLCMC Standard Cost Process and other DoD, Air Force and lower level policy, publications, supplements, and manuals, as well as applicable documents and regulations, systems, processes and guides, as required.

Qualifications

Minimum Required Qualifications:

Citizenship: Must be a US citizen

Clearance: Secret

Education: BA/BS degree 

Years’ experience: Fifteen (15) years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, five (5) of which must be in the DoD

Preferred Qualifications:

Clearance: Secret

Certifications: 

Education: MA/MS degree

Years’ experience: Twelve (12) years of experience in the respective technical / professional discipline being performed, five (5) years of which must be in the DoD

Additional Information:

Location: Tinker AFB

Travel: 10%
