Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated High School 'Career and College Readiness' Teacher to join our team! The ideal candidate will have a passion for education, academic advising, and the ability to inspire students to reach their full potential inside and outside of school.

Duties:
- Develop and implement engaging lessons that adhere to our Odyssey School Values of creativity, community, authenticity and excellency
- Utilize the larger Asheville community to enhance classroom instruction
- Provide academic advising and support to students
- Foster a positive, organized, and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning
- Work collaboratively amongst the High School Team to deliver a holistic learning environment for students

Experience:

-Previous education or experience must include one or a combination of the following:

• (1) Bachelor’s degree in Education, Counseling, English, Communications, or another relevant area
• (2) Expertise in the relevant subject area
• (3) 2 years, or more, of previous experience in teaching, advising, or other educational fields

-Current CPR Certification is preferred

-Relevant experience working with students, preferably at the High School level, is preferred
