Odyssey House is seeking a Strategic Assistant to join our Administration team!

Location: Salt Lake City

Compensation: $45,000 - $65,000 (DOE)

We are seeking a detail-oriented individual with demonstrated experience in project planning and proficient problem-solving abilities to excel in this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Administrative Support: Support the VP of Operations with managing schedules, organizing meetings, and handling correspondence.
  • Communication: Serve as a point of contact for internal and external communications, including answering phone calls, responding to emails, and drafting correspondence on behalf of the executive.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Assist with preparing reports, presentations, and other documents as needed. This may involve gathering data, conducting research, and creating and formatting documents.
  • Project Coordination: Coordinate special projects and initiatives as the executive assigns, which may involve liaising with other staff members, volunteers, or external partners.
  • Project Assistance: Work closely with the VP of Operations to manage projects efficiently, providing essential support in problem-solving, data collection, and tool management to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Budget and Expense Management: Assist with tracking expenses, creating check requests, and maintaining financial records.
  • Information Management: Maintain organized filing systems and databases to ensure efficient access to information and documents.
  • Confidentiality and Discretion: Handle sensitive information with discretion and always maintain confidentiality.
  • Other Tasks as Needed: Handle various ad hoc tasks and responsibilities as they arise in order to support the smooth operation of the organization and the executive's office.

Requirements

Education/Prior Experience Required:

  • Preference will be given to candidates with a degree in a related field, two years of related employment, or a program graduate recommended by staff for employment. Must have excellent customer service skills and a sales background.
  • Willingness and ability to pass a criminal background check
  • First Aid and CPR Certification (available at Odyssey House)
  • Must comply with annual TB tests, Flu, and other immunizations as required
  • Must meet employment eligibility
  • Must be able to work variable shifts as needed
