 Salary Range: $58,500.00-65,000.00

MAJOR FUNCTIONS: 

Odyssey House Haven operates on a 24 hour/7 day a week basis, the Assistant Supportive Housing Director must be available to handle crisis situations; ability to make critical decisions; maintain excellent communication and judgment skills and be committed to working with our client population. Responsibilities of the Assistant Supportive Housing Director include promoting an atmosphere that encourages tenant’s involvement with all aspects of the clinical program; oversee discharges/eviction of tenants, supervise case management and support staff. She/he will assure the program is run in a sound manner; plan and execute staff training; develop and maintain relationships with service providers. 

SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide overall support to the Director of Community Housing. 
• Ensure housing performance standards are created for all Social Services staff. 
• Maintain clinical charts & HUD Annual Recertification. 
• Conduct Six Month and annual performance evaluations on all subordinate staff. 
• Collections of tenant’s monthly rent and make monthly bank deposit of rent.
• Complete DHS and HASA Monthly reports.  Collaborate with the resident manager to ensure that the facility is properly maintained on a day-to-day basis. 
• Ensure adherence to HPD, HASA, HHAP and the Department of Homeless Services contract and performance standards. 
• Manage all personnel matters for approximately 7 staff members within the program, with the support of the Director of Community Housing. 
• Link clients to services provided by other community-based organizations and ensure coordination of care between other providers.
• Complete required monthly reports as assigned; 
• Assist the Program Director with hiring and training of new staff.
• Actively participate in staff meetings, clinical treatment meetings, community meetings with clients and trainings.
• Performs other job-related functions, as assigned by Program Director and Vice President.

REQUIREMENTS: EDUCATION/TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

1. Bachelor Degree, Rehabilitation Counseling or other related field required.
2. CASAC or CASAC-T Certification required.
   1. Candidates will be considered if CASAC or CASAC-T Certification is in process of completion and if the certificate will be received within the 6 month probationary period.
3.  3 years of experience working in supportive housing, providing direct services to formerly homeless people diagnosed with serious psychiatric and substance use disorders required.
4. Excellent English language skills; both verbal and written
5. Proficiency in computer operations, including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Electronic Health Record and knowledge of AWARDS.
6. Must be able to work a flexible schedule. 
7. This position will require availability as needed including on call responsibilities.
8. Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.
