Description

Position Summary

As part of Odyssey Behavioral Healthcare’s (OBH) marketing team, this position plays an important role in our mission to connect more individuals to the care they need. The Marketing Specialist develops and supports digital and traditional marketing initiatives and works closely with facility leadership, business development, admissions, and key leaders or stakeholders to expand Odyssey’s reach and impact.

Relationships and Contacts

Within the organization: Initiates and maintains frequent and close working relationships with the Marketing Team, Facility Leadership, Business Development, Admissions, and key Odyssey leadership.

Outside the organization: Initiates and maintains frequent and close working relationships with vendors, agencies, associations, and advertisers.

Position Responsibilities

The marketing specialist is responsible for planning, executing, reporting, benchmarking, and testing all marketing initiatives that support admission growth at Odyssey’s residential and outpatient facilities, along with other duties as assigned.

Marketing Campaigns and Volume Drivers

  1. Own the development of multi-channel campaigns for specific personas to drive quality web traffic, conversions, and admissions.
  2. Create data-driven action plans and contribute to marketing’s strategic quarterly/annual plans.
  3. Partner with facility leadership and the marketing team to ensure facility web pages, collateral, and other assets are up to date.
  4. Coordinate the creation, review, or production of branded promotional materials, collateral, templates, assets, and additional items to support each brand and location.
  5. Partner with business development and facility leadership in the promotion and support of in-person or virtual events that meet or exceed attendance goals.

Network and Facility Marketing Support

  1. Support the marketing team on facility initiatives, such as facility openings, new program launches, events, and other marketing campaigns. 
  2. Partner with the marketing team and external vendors to ensure collateral, promotional materials, etc. are up-to-date on online asset management and ordering platforms. 
  3. Perform minor web updates, such as staff page updates and text updates, as needed. 
  4. Drive consistent messaging and branding across online platforms like directories and websites. 

Research, Reporting, and Organization 

  1. Report on key performance metrics across various channels. 
  2. Perform regular competitive reviews and report/summarize insights to marketing leadership that can capture additional market share, enhance innovation, and improve volume growth. 
  3. Work with marketing leadership on initiatives to keep department processes organized and best practices documented and updated. 
  4. Work with marketing leadership in the development of presentations and reports on campaign strategies and results. 
  5. Research mental health, substance use, and eating disorder facts and sources to enhance communications and marketing. 
  6. Stays curious with data and A/B testing to evaluate, bring forward, and implement ways to continually improve performance and results.
  7. Partner with admissions, business development, and others in ways that create consistent feedback loops for identifying opportunities for optimization, clarity, and enhancement.

Qualifications


Minimum Requirements

Education and Experience

At least 3–5 years of relevant experience in a corporate or agency environment is required. This position requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business, marketing, communications, or a related field. Experience in the healthcare or behavioral health treatment industry is a strong plus.

Skill Competencies

  • Demonstrates a passion for building something new, learning, digging in, and finding solutions is necessary for success in developing and scaling Odyssey’s residential facilities and outpatient locations.
  • Experience working with marketing, attribution, and analytics platforms, such as Hubspot, Wordpress, Google Analytics, Invoca, and Salesforce.
  • Strong ability to manage and take action on a wide variety of simultaneous projects is critical for success. Must have strong collaboration skills and experience working with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience and consistent performance in fast-paced, deadline-oriented environments while delivering projects at a high-quality standard.
  • Experience working on B2C and B2B email campaigns and building email drip campaigns in a marketing automation platform (such as Hubspot, Marketo, or Pardot).
  • Strong ability to connect quickly with others, clearly communicate verbally and in writing, and building relationships is important for the initiatives and impact this role will deliver.
  • Ability to report on the impact of projects and campaigns in relation to department goals, using it to inform actions that need to be taken, and communicating it to others in a way that they can easily understand.
  • Demonstrates the ability to exercise sound judgment and discretion.

Physical Requirements 

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to communicate with peers, the general public, clients, and vendors.
  • Tolerant to various noise levels: noise level in the work environment varies and may be very quiet to moderate.
  • Job performance will require the ability to move throughout the building and sit or remain stationary for extended periods of time.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to talk or hear, sit, stand, walk, reach, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, taste, or smell. 
  • Ability to move 25 pounds.

Other Requirements

The position requires incumbents to have a valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and a clear driving record for the last three years.
