We are looking to grow our team with a FINANCE DIRECTOR at Odd Fellow Rebekah Home Association Inc!

Job Description:
The Finance Director aides in the development of the financial well-being of the organization by providing financial projections and accounting services, preparing growth plans, and directing business office staff.

The Finance Director manages the organizations finances and is responsible for financial reporting and assessing financial risk.

The Finance Director will lead the company from a financial perspective working closely with the CEO and the Nursing Home Administrator.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Assists with high level decisions about policy and strategy.
  • Oversees the organizations fiscal activities
  • Assures legal and regulatory documents are filed and monitors compliance.
  • Monitors and appraises business office staff job performance and provides support, direction, and supervision.
  • Identifies and addresses financial risk and opportunities to resolve.
  • Oversees the development and monitors the operational budget and recommends areas of cost control.
  • Participates in key decisions as a member of the executive management team.
  • Assist Business Office Manager with hiring, training, and monitoring performance of all Business Office employees.
  • Maintains a list of fixed assets and depreciation schedule.
  • Monitors the reconciliation of banks statement, accounts payable and receivable and checks the General Ledger against source documents.
  • Prepares and analyzes monthly and quarterly statements and prepares an annual statement for the Board.
  • Knows and follows HIPAA regulations
  • Compiles all audit information for annual audit.
  • Promotes team building with all staff by active participation and leadership.
  • Prepares WMA cost report and supplies information for the Medicare cost report.
  • Gathers and submits all information necessary for Federal 990 to auditors.
  • Understands all department responsibilities
  • Maintains confidentiality.
  • Continues to expand knowledge through educational programs, webinars, and seminars.
  • Manages cash flow projections.
  • Maintains good working knowledge of WMA, Medicare, private pay, insurance, and hospice reimbursement.
  • Works with the CEO on the annual operating budget and capital requests.
  • Works with business office in areas of accounts receivable and/or payable as they affect the facilities.
  • Assists with delinquent accounts and insurance denials
  • Assists with contract reviews
  • Complies with all local, State, and Federal regulations.
  • Initiates and pursues collection services for outstanding accounts.
  • Keeps department heads advised of pertinent information.
  • Understand all duties of the Business Office and assure compliance
  • Other tasks that may be requested by the CEO and/or the Board of Directors to maintain the smooth operation of the Odd Fellow Home

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • Bachelors in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred with experience with Medicare, Medicaid, hospice, and insurance billing
  • Strong leadership and organization skills
  • Excellent knowledge of data analysis
  • Proficient in the use of financial management software
  • Experience with non-profit audit process

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $90,000.00 per year
