Position Summary

Someone in this role would typically have a high school diploma and 2 years of related experience.

**This role will require some overtime. **

Duties & Responsibilities

SOME OF YOUR MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

* Support Quality Engineers with nonconformance management on various platforms - QCBD, SmartSolve, TipQA/TipFSE, and Quality Tenets, etc
* Support the identification and trend analysis of common root causes, with monthly reporting to Quality Management
* Attend corrective action board meetings, keep records of discussions and ensure assigned actions are completed on a timely basis
* Ensure monthly completion of Quality Tenets Process Verifications to meet targets
* Coordinate and track Workmanship Training for Technicians, Inspectors and Quality Engineers by liaison with NASA JSC training center, and other outside providers
* Track supplier quality issues and work with Quality Engineers to ensure effective resolutions are coordinated in a timely manner
* Maintain supplier quality data to ensure continued availability for future procurements
* Support the monthly review of data received from Government Industry Data Exchange Program (GIDEP) to assess impacts and working with Quality Engineers to close out any issues
* Support Quality Management System internal audit effort to meet ISO 9001/AS9100 requirements by maintaining audit schedules, and records of completed audits and findings
* Support periodic test verifications of equipment in the electronics lab for ESD properties
* Support the monthly reporting of Cost of Poor Quality data to Corporate
* Other duties assigned to ensure smooth operations with Quality Assurance related to Customer or QMS or Operations

Qualifications

REQUIRED

* High school degree or equivalent and 2 years of experience in scheduling, planning, and/or expediting in a machine shop and/or quality assurance environment.
* Experience with nonconformance management and root cause identification.
* Strong proficiency with spreadsheets (Excel), PowerPoint, Word, etc
* Experience with being able to gather and process information from a wide variety of sources.
PREFERRED

* 5 years direct experience in an aerospace quality assurance setting supporting various QMS processes. Knowledge of AS9100 is a plus.
* Familiarity with government (NASA, DoD) aerospace manufacturing
* Technical certification and/or degree in a related field
* SharePoint experience
