Job Description:

The Accounting & Finance Assistant role at OSJL supports the Company’s accounting and finance teams during a busy period. This seasonal and temporary position offers an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience utilizing Excel and Google Suite tools and to gain exposure to real-world accounting and tax processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work with Store and Real Estate trial balances, organizing accounts and ensuring data accuracy.
• Assist in the preparation and upload of tax workpapers.
• Utilize Excel for data analysis, reporting, and financial modeling tasks.
• Collaborate with the accounting team on special projects and assignments.
• Maintain strict confidentiality regarding Company and personal financial information.

Qualifications:

• Pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
• Detail-oriented and organized, with strong time management skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team setting.
• Demonstrated professionalism and commitment to confidentiality.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel; Data manipulation skills and a familiarity with formulas and pivot tables are preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of Google platform (i.e. Drive, Slides, Docs, Sheets, and Sites).

Work Environment:

• Works primarily in a climate controlled environment with minimal safety and health hazard
  potential. 
• Works in an office environment remaining stationary at a desk, table, or computer workstation for extended periods of time. Frequently uses near vision for reading and computer tasks.
