Ob Hospitalist Group is Hiring a Finance Director, Operations Near Greenville, SC

Position Summary: The Finance Director, Operations will collaborate with the OBHG Operations Team and various cross functional teams to forecast, monitor and report hospital program and regional performance. This role, in partnership with operations leaders, will own the planning and forecasting functions across roughly half of OBHG’s hospital portfolio. The role will also provide financial leadership in assisting operators in financial analysis to aid in operational decisions and to renegotiate contracts to ensure profitability aligns with corporate objectives.

Position Responsibilities: Essential

  • Collaborate with operations leaders to develop and maintain hospital-level plans based on contractual obligations and shift coverage expectations.
  • Coordinate the development/refinement of variance reporting that assists operators in targeting key areas they should focus on to strengthen hospital relationships and ensure profitability.
  • Develop, monitor, and report key performance indicators for each hospital and regional operations teams.
  • Assists in the creation of presentations that demonstrate value proposition for hospital partners in collaboration with operations leaders.
  • Collaborate with corporate FP&A team to ensure program/regional forecasts inform (and conform to) corporate-level targets.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve financial performance of assigned operating regions
  • Partner with other internal departments for data enhancement initiatives.
  • Special projects and other related duties as assigned.

Essential Skills/Credentials/Experience/Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, healthcare management, or related field.
  • Five (5) to Ten (10) years of experience in a mid to senior level financial planning and analytics position, healthcare experience preferred.
  • Ability to problem solve, take initiative, perform multiple concurrent tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong analytical aptitude, excellent written and oral presentation skills.
  • Change agent with the ability to look for new ways to improve the business.
  • Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.
  • Working knowledge of short and long-term budgeting and forecasting.
  • A collaborative team player who has strong relationship building skills. Must be able to relate well to individuals at various levels.
  • Highly ethical and trustworthy, unwavering integrity.
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills. In-depth knowledge of data mining and analysis.
  • Detail oriented with focus on data accuracy and integrity.
  • Ability to assist and/or lead various projects.

 Preferred Skills/Credentials/Experience/Education

  • Master’s Degree or CPA
  • 10 plus years of high-level healthcare analytics.
  • Financial planning and analysis in a healthcare or hospital environment.
  • Workday Adaptive Planning experience.

Mental and Physical Demands (per ADA guidelines)

Physical Demands: Sitting for long periods of time (5.5 hrs/day). Occupation requires this activity more than 66% of the time

Travel Demands: May require up to 10% of time traveling

Annual Compensation: $125,000 - $150,000
